Summer Refresh Swim Skills

Swimming is not like riding a bike, you do forget. If your child hasn’t been swimming all winter, there’s a good chance they won’t remember the skills they had last summer. Use the first pool visit of the summer to review these swimming safety skills with your kids.

  1. Jump into the deep end and resurface
  2. Combination of treading water and floating for 1 minute
  3. Turn around in a full circle
  4. Swim 25 yard without stopping
  5. Exit from the pool without using a ladder
